The National Cadet Corps [NCC] is the Indian Military Cadet & Corps with its headquarters at New Delhi. The motto of NCC is ‘UNITY AND DISCIPLINE’
The National Cadet Corps is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation-building. The NCC provides opportunities to the students for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline, and Moral Values and also provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline, and Adventure Training. It is open to our college students on a voluntary basis followed by the criteria of selection.
Regular activities like a Drill, Rifle, Map Reading, Weapon Training, Fieldcraft, Battle Craft, etc, are being imparted to the cadets as per the syllabus framed by NCC, Directorate, Bengaluru.
Anti-Drug Rally, Swachcha Bharath Abhiyan, Yoga, Independence Day, Republic Day, Kargil Vijay Diwas, Road Safety Rally, Blood Donation, Army Awareness, NCC Inter-Collegiate Competition and NCC Day Celebration are the other Programs conducted by SFGC, NCC 7 KAR BN, Bengaluru, in which our cadets will take an active role.
The following NCC Students have participated in Republic Day Parade and AITSC ( All India Thal Sainik Camp).
The college has adequate Sports and Game facilities to cater to the Physical Development of the students. An indoor offers facilities for Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Shuttle Badminton. The college includes a big playground for Sports like Cricket, Throwball, Volleyball, Floorball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, etc.
The well-equipped gym provides students the opportunity to build their stamina to be better and able to cope with the rigours of college life, channelize their energies in a healthy way and also improves their physique and stay fit.
The library is stocked with a wide range of Books and it is computerized. The library covers 3950sq.ft in a college campus with comfortable Reading rooms that spreads over three floors. It has around 24,848 Books covering almost all aspects of Science, Commerce, and Arts wherein 12,484 Books are distributed for SNC PU students and 12,364 Books are distributed for IDC PU students. The library regularly subscribes to Magazines and Journals like MTG Publications and Science India which is been useful for students.
The Library provides 4 Books for the Meritorious students and also for the disabled students per academic year. The needy students avail the facility of getting 4 Books every year.
The library remains open from 9AM to 5:30 PM on all working days.
On the whole, we have well-equipped and spacious Laboratories with scientific and technical support. The Labs consists of upgraded Instruments, Chemicals, Museums, Digital meters, Power Supplies, Electronic Components, the latest Software configuration, and Broadband Internet Services respectively.
The students get a hand on experience which helps them to learn and perform their task individually under the guidance of our eminent teachers

The Botany Museum is an excellent repository of a wide range of Specimens of Plants, Fungi, Lichens, and Fossils. There is a vast collection of rare Insectivorous Plants, essential oils, and Herbaria. The unique display of amazing Plants, endangered and endemic species that always grab the attention of the students.
The Zoology Museum has a huge collection of preserved Animals of various Phyla, developmental stages of the Human Foetus, Human Organs and Cancerous Organs. The dry collection includes coral, very old collection of stuffed Birds and Osteology Specimens such as Human Skeleton, Skulls, and Bones
The collection of Spicimens, Display of Charts and Photographs are very useful in Morphological, Anatomical, Ecological, and Evolutionary studies.
The college has a Health Care Centre which caters to the basic medical needs for students as well as to the Staff. The Health Centre provides First-Aid Treatment, Blood Pressure, Apparatus, Glucometer, and Awareness charts in the centre. The college has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ananya Hospital which avails emergency healthcare for our Students and Staff.
Likewise, the Health Care Centre also educates the students to maintain hygiene in students.
Every Saturday between 2:00 PM to 3.30 PM there would be counseling to explain ‘What after 10th standard and career paths after 12th standard’. Interested can register by calling the office 080 – 2332 0520 and visit on the scheduled day.
The college provides counseling services to the students throughout the academic session. Under this program, the students undergo Psychometric assessment which helps to map their aptitude, interest, and their personality. Guest Lectures will be arranged in order to give information to the students on career opportunities.
The college has two well-equipped and air-conditioned Auditoriums named Sharadha Sabhangana and Asha Kirana. The Auditorium is spacious, well ventilated, and well furnished halls. The Auditorium hosts various Academic and Cultural events of the college and also frequently used for Seminars, Talks and Lectures
The objective behind the auditorium is to enhance the quality of Education. To make this possible, the Auditorium offers facilities such as LCD Projectors and screens for delivering the Lectures. It is equipped with hi-tech audio-visual equipment and super specialty sound and light system. It also provides ample opportunity for our Staff and Students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.
The entire campus is under CCTV surveillance
Banking services are provided by the Branch of Canara Bank. Depositing of fees etc is done through and also students can open individual accounts in the Bank.
The canteen is one of the hub of out-of-class discussions and exchange of information.
